The Federal Way community is invited to gather for a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
The ceremony will honor the lives lost, the bravery of first responders, and the strength and unity shown in the aftermath of the attacks.

Friday, September 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM
Fire Station 64
3700 SW 320th Street, Federal Way
The ceremony will be presented by the Federal Way Police Department and South King Fire, with guest speakers including Federal Way Police Chief Andy Hwang, South King Fire Chief Ryan Woodey, and Des Moines Police Chief Ted Boe.
September 11 also holds a special connection to our Federal Way community. Todd Beamer High School was named in honor of Todd Beamer, a passenger aboard United Airlines Flight 93 who joined fellow passengers in fighting back against the hijackers. Their actions prevented the plane from reaching its intended target in Washington, D.C.
As we mark 25 years since September 11, 2001, this community gathering offers an opportunity to come together to remember those who lost their lives and honor the courage of those who responded.
We will never forget
