With two roundabouts serving as key entry points into the Ridge, we thought it would be helpful to share a quick refresher on how to navigate them safely and smoothly.
Roundabout Basics:
- Yield to traffic already in the roundabout. Vehicles inside the circle have the right of way.
- Slow down as you approach. This gives you time to assess traffic and enter safely.
- Enter when clear. Don’t stop once you’re inside, keep moving with the flow of traffic.
- Use your turn signal when exiting. This helps other drivers anticipate your movement.
- Be mindful of pedestrians. Always yield to anyone crossing at designated crosswalks.
Roundabouts are designed to reduce accidents and improve traffic flow, but they only work well when everyone follows the same rules.
